Founded in 1986, CAS has become the German, market-leading innovator for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and is the leading expert for eXtended relationship management (XRM) in Europe. With 237 FTEs working in Karlsruhe, CAS Software AG serves more than 250.000 users from over 7500 companies worldwide. CAS maintains an elaborated partner model with more than 200 software houses across the globe, developing and representing solutions based on CAS technology in 30 countries. As a customer-centric organization that aims to provide flexible and individual solutions to meet diverse customer requirements, CAS is structured as a network company composed of specialized business units, so called SmartCompanies, designed to focus on specific customer groups.
Two business units will play a prominent role within CAS Software AG: the CAS Ecosystems and CAS Development Centre SmartDesign (CAS DCS) SmartCompanies. CAS Ecosystems is a SmartCompany of CAS Software AG and offers solutions to facilitate efficient cross-organizational collaboration. The CAS Ecosystems Suite is modular building-block solution that provides a comprehensive software landscape for cross-company processes. CAS WeShare Collaboration Spaces supports cross-company project management as a SaaS solution based on CAS SmartDesign. Organizations create strategic ecosystems through collaboration and co-operate with suppliers, research institutes, competitors, and other stakeholders. CAS offers a complete CRM system for sales organizations with sophisticated reporting modules. Likewise, CAS DCS successfully developed CAS Open, a platform for CRM/xRM solutions that supports the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) paradigm, hosting Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. Apart from different customized solutions, CAS offers CAS PIA as the standard CRM solution, based on the CAS Open platform. With the development of CAS Open platform and three SaaS applications on top, CAS positioned itself in the cloud market and gained expertise within that field.
